Mar 08, 2022

The Tunisian government has approved several solar projects with a combined capacity of 500 MW and a total investment of 1.2 billion Tanzanian dinars (407.9 million/€374.9 million).

In 2019, the projects were awarded to a consortium of Norwegian renewable energy producer Scatec ASA, France's Engie and Moroccan energy company Nareva, as well as AMEA power LLC and TBEA Xinjiang New Energy Co., Ltd. part of the country's franchise system.

Dúirt an rialtas ar a láithreán gréasáin an tseachtain seo caite go mbeidh na stáisiúin chumhachta gréine nua lonnaithe i Kairouan (100 MW), Tataouin (200 MW), Tozeur (50 MW), Sidi Bouzid Cúige (50 MW) agus Gafsa Cúige (100 MW) . Cabhróidh an tionscadal nua leis an Túinéis allmhairí gáis nádúrtha a laghdú 6 faoin gcéad agus costais a laghdú faoi 130 milliún dinars ón Tansáin.

The North African country needs to add about 3.8GW of green power capacity to increase its share of renewables to 30 percent by 2030. (1.0 Guilder = 0.339/€0.312)
